Description

We explored how elevation affects herbivores on one of the major cool-temperate trees, Quercus mongolica, in southern South Korea. The feeding activities of insect herbivores were measured through insect-feeding damage on leaves. Of 78 types of insect-feeding damage that were observed from Jirisan Mountain (Mount.) and Hallasan Mount. in Korea. Data template consists three sheets; 1. Data_raw: mountain types (HL, JR), survey sites (LYS, SJB, , SSA, SSJ), Number of examined leaves, Feeding type, Feeding type in Sohn et al. (2017), Feeding damage type, Feeding guild, and presence/absence 2. Mountain: Mountain, Mountain in full name, Survey site code, Survey site in full name, elevation of study site (m), latitute, longitude,, and forest type 3. Leaf damage: Abbreviation of feeding damage type and feeding damage type.
