Description

Digital image steganography is a kind of technique for securing data from unauthorized and unethical persons. A tug-of-war is continuous between the embedding capacity and distortion caused in the image. A balance has to be maintained between the two so that neither does affect the other. In this paper, I dealt with a new thought and carried the embedding capacity to a great extent as much as three times the number of pixels in the image. I have used multi-keys for embedding the message to strengthen the security and allowed the distortion to occur as much as possible. Distorted image is treated as the new image and both these images are incorporated in the extraction process.Recipient is flooded with many such images during transmission to divert the attention of intruders. Experimental results show that it is very difficult to guess and extract the message and at the same time increasing the embedding capacity to horizon.

Steps to reproduce

Pixels of two images are distorted by XOR and/or XNOR operation to hide text messages. These operations are performed because they have the ability to restore the original message if operated on the stego image and original image. AND and OR operations cannot restore the original message.
