Pyrolysis of walnut shell residues in a fixed bed reactor: Effects of process parameters, chemical and functional properties of bio-oil

Dr. Mudasir Akbar Shah graduated with Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Chemical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Srinagar Kashmir, Deemed University, India in 2010. He then worked for more than one year at National Institute of Technology Srinagar Kashmir. He completed his Technology in Chemical engineering in Computer Aided Process and Plant Design (CAPD) from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IITR) in 2012. He completed his PhD in Chemical Engineering – (Renewable energy), from National Institute of Technology Srinagar Kashmir, in collaboration with Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IITR) in 2020. Dr. Shah then worked as an Assistant Professor through United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) for more than 2 years, Ethiopia. He has extensive research and project management experience of more than 4 years. Dr Shah is currently working as an Assistant Professor at Kombolcha Institute of Technology (KIOT), Wollo University, Ethiopia. He has played a leading role in establishing Energy Laboratory at NIT Srinagar and KIOT. He has published more than 10 papers on the topics of energy and fuels, biofuels, nanomaterials and waste to energy technologies. He has given several oral presentations in international conferences and workshops including many as invited/keynote speaker. He is currently involved in several funded projects as PI/Co-PI, focusing on energy and fuels, environmental research, and advanced materials including nano-catalysts. He is serving as an Associate Editor for Biomass Conversion and Biorefinery and Guest Editor for many Journals as a Reviewer for many high impact Journals of Elsevier. Over seven years of research experience in various renewable energy and thermal systems, biomass development, life cycle assessment, energy management, climate change and sustainability approaches with the main goal of providing energy security and environmental sustainability. Possess a strong research background in biofuel production, specifically the thermochemical conversion and kinetic modelling of biomass waste materials/processes.
