ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION: COMPARATIVE STUDY OF THE PERFORMANCE OF TWO TRAINING METHODS IN SAHELIAN FARMING ENVIRONMENTS
Description
The acceptance of messages related to the preservation and conservation of the environment within populations depends in part on the training methods used in the Sahel zone. The objective in this article is to measure the achievement of the training goals via educational and andragogical methods by analyzing the perception that the participants have of their training achievements. 300 trainers in plant resource management education in the Sahel region were invited to the survey carried out using a questionnaire and training session evaluation sheets. Data analysis made it possible to determine that 97.57% of the trained people surveyed were satisfied and 95.87% could reproduce the knowledge related to good environmental practices. The practical method of andragogy made it possible to transmit knowledge better than the practical method of pedagogy
