Information Warfare towards the 2024 Indonesian Presidential Election: A Study of Media and Propaganda

Results from a survey conducted by Katadata Insight Center (KIC) and the Ministry of Communication and Information (Kominfo) show that digital literacy in Indonesia falls into the moderate category with a score of 3.47 out of 5. The highest level of digital literacy is found in central regions such as Bali, Kalimantan, and Sulawesi. Digital literacy measurement is based on UNESCO standards and consists of four sub-indices: information and data literacy, communication and collaboration, security, and technological skills. The survey indicates that central Indonesia has the highest scores in almost all sub-indices, except for sub-index 1 related to information and data literacy. Meanwhile, the eastern region has the lowest scores, except for sub-index 1, which has the highest score. The western region also has the lowest score in sub-index 1.
