Description

This dataset presents the experimental results of a study of the complex dielectric constant of a PFN and PFN1L (with 1wt.% of Li) ceramic samples. The data required to determine the temperatures of the real and imaginary parts of the complex dielectric constant maxima, the Curie-Weiss law parameters, the Burns temperatures and the dependencies of those on the frequency of test signal. The results of Vogel-Fulcher fitting are also presented. A detailed description is given in the documents on the About sheets.

Steps to reproduce

The temperature dependences of the real and imaginary parts of the complex relative permittivity were studied at different frequencies of the alternating electric field using a high-temperature furnace, a PTC10 temperature controller (Stanford Research Systems) with a Pt RTD sensor, an Agilent E4980A LCR meter, and a personal computer. Measurement, recording of data and calculation of parameters were carried out automatically using specially developed software. The measurements were carried out in the 25 Hz…2 MHz frequency range, and in the 300…620 K temperature range in the regimes of monotonous heating and cooling at a rate of 0.3 K/min. The test signal level was 0.4 V. To determine the temperatures of the real and imaginary parts of the complex dielectric constant maxima (Tm), the temperature dependences of the permittivity in the vicinity of the Tm were smoothed out by interpolation with cubic Hermite spline using the ALGLIB algorithm library. The width of the temperature range was determined by the minimum of the interpolation mean square error. The Tm value in the smoothed data was determined by a simple enumeration. All the data is received and processed automatically and presented as is.
