EFFECT OF NEURO- REHABILITATION PROTOCOL IN PATIENTS UNDERWENT CRANIOTOMY IN INTENSIVE CARE UNIT: A PILOT RANDOMIZED CLINICAL TRIAL

Description

It was a pilot randomised clinical trial, in which patients were recruited post craniotomy after screening as per inclusion and exclusion criteria and then the randomisation of the patients was performed. The patients of one group got Neuro-rehabilitation protocol while another group got neuro-rehabilitation protocol as well as conventional physiotherapy as an intervention. The patients of first group will seek an hour long treatment session constantly for 15 days as per the Neuro-rehabilitation protocol whereas the another group will be given regular physiotherapy session one hour for 15 days. Pre and post assessments was performed using Glasgow Coma scale, Modified Ashworth scale, Montreal Cognitive Assessment scale, Coma recovery scale on the first and the fifteenth day of intervention.
