Assess exercise demographics, require participants (aged 18 or over) to be regular exercisers defined as a minimum of one weekly session of exercise and present them the Stanford Treatment Expectancy Scale (STES). Compare the expectancy data for coffee and energy drinks and also look at groups such as exercise frequency (high-low), gender, form of exercise (aerobic. anaerobic, mixed). Furthermore, examine the relationship of expectancies with exercise history (years or months) and perceived exercise intensity.
