The effects of pH, adsorption dosage and initial per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) concentrationon on the adsorption mechanism of PFAS using maize tassel (MT) and chemically activated maize tassel (CAMT) as adsorbents.

The adsorption of PFAS using novel adsorbents such as maize tassel and activated carbon produced from maize tassel were evaluated via batch equilibrium experiments investigating the effects of pH, adsorbent dosage and initial contaminant concentration. The findings from these experiments were presented at the 38th International Symposium on Halogenated Persistent Organic Pollutants (DIOXIN 2018) Krakow, Poland in August, 2018. The powerpoint slides of the presentation are attached herein.
