BACKGRUND: - Primary dysmenorrhea is most common problem in young adults’ population. The menstrual cycle is average 28 days. It is cramping during menstruation that is unrelated to disease of the pelvic region. PURPOSE: - To know the knowledge and attitude of medical student toward importance of physiotherapy in primary dysmenorrhea. METHOD AND MATERIALS: - An online cross sectional study among 255 medical student age between 17 to 26 years was done across the country. Questionnaire assessed the knowledge, attitude, and awareness among the medical student toward importance of physiotherapy in primary dysmenorrhea RESULT: - Total of 255 individuals participating in the study. In this study there is 77.10% participant aware of primary dysmenorrhea and there is 75.20% participant are aware of physiotherapy and 58.00% participant know the role of physiotherapy in primary dysmenorrhea. CONCLUSION: - This survey study concluded that most of the medical students are aware about primary dysmenorrhea and physiotherapy. But only some of the medical students were aware about the importance of physiotherapy in reducing primary dysmenorrhea symptoms.
