The data consist of EIA-related court cases decided and published after the enactment of Indonesia's Environmental Protection and Management Law No. 32 of 2009. Data collection was conducted from February to April 2023 as part of broader research on environmental litigation in Indonesia. Using the keyword "lingkungan hidup" (environment) and the "administrative case" filter in the Supreme Court Decision Repository, the researcher skimmed and identified 175 administrative environmental cases. After further screening, 72 were categorized as EIA litigation. Each of these was reviewed to determine whether they raised substantive scientific challenges to the EIA study, beyond procedural issues. Of the 72 cases, 31 met this criterion. This database focuses on those 31 cases.
