Description

Pityriasis rubra pilaris (PRP) is a rare yet highly morbid inflammatory skin condition classically characterized by follicular hyperkeratotic papules, salmon-coloured plaques, and palmoplantar keratoderma. First-line therapy currently involves the use of oral retinoids, however, treatment using biologics has recently been reported in several studies. This systematic review summarizes the evidence surrounding biologic treatment options for PRP.
