This data set includes intracellular recordings, obtained from the midline thalamus and the mPFC of mice under ketamine-xylazine anesthesi. Intracellular recordings were obtained together with local field potential recordings of the hippocampus (CA1), mPFC, thalamus and a respiration signal measured by piezoelectric sensors placed around the thorax. In the midline thalamus, we observed EPSPs and action potentials, phase-locked to respiration and prefrontal gamma packets (30-80 Hz). In contrast, the main contributor to prefrontal synaptic activity was the slow oscillation with little to no modulation resulting from respiration.
