Description

This dataset contains the design files, firmware, and supporting documentation for a low-cost IoT-based environmental and electrical monitoring system developed for cassava chip drying applications. The system uses an ESP32-based data acquisition unit to monitor temperature, relative humidity, voltage, current, power, and electrical energy. The dataset includes the monitoring schematic, PCB layout, panel layout, sensor placement drawing, ESP32 firmware, and Blynk dashboard configuration.

Steps to reproduce

The monitoring hardware can be reproduced using the schematic, PCB layout, panel layout, sensor placement drawing, ESP32 firmware, and Blynk dashboard configuration provided in this dataset. Assemble the monitoring circuit according to the schematic and PCB layout, install the components inside the monitoring panel, and position the DHT22 and SHT31-D sensors according to the sensor placement drawing. Upload the provided firmware to the ESP32 DevKitC-32U V4 and configure the required Wi-Fi and Blynk credentials. The system acquires temperature, relative humidity, voltage, current, power, and energy data, stores the measurements locally on the SD card, and transmits the data to the Blynk server for online storage and remote monitoring. Detailed assembly and operation procedures are provided in the associated HardwareX article.
