Description

Given the restriction to water movement in tumours, we evaluated the diagnostic performance of Whole Body Diffusion Weighted Imaging with Background Suppresion MRI for detecting peritoneal ovarian cancer seeding and tumour burden, regionally and globally, compared with cytoreduction surgery, as a standard of reference. Variables (columns) are the different peritoneal regions according Peritoneal Cancer Index (PCI) (regions 0 to 13) for two observers (R1&R2) and surgery (Qx). Each variable may take 1 out of 4 values (0 to 3), Each record is numbered (1 to 50) according to sample size

Steps to reproduce

Peritoneal Cancer Index (PCI) scores (0-3) tumour burden in 13 anatomical regions, globally ranging 0-39. Two radiologists (R1&R2) prospectively assessed PCI and the surgical team after. Diagnostic performance for WB-DWIBS/MRI was calculated regionally & globally. interobserver agreeement with Cohen´s Kappa, statistic differences with McNemar test and tumour burden with Pearson test.
