Description

These data are the results of chromatographic analyzes of water samples and organic extracts of sediments from the Pasto River in the La Playita-Puente La Carolina strech of the year 2015 in a dry period (February) and a wet period (November). The results correspond to the analysis of Carbofuran, Organochlorines and Organophosphates.

Persistent organic compounds likely used in agricultural activities in the area such as organochlorine pesticides (endrine, dieldrin, and heptachlor epoxide), organophosphates (chlorpyrifos and azinphos-methyl), and carbamates (carbofuran). These analyses were performed by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC-MS). These were carried out at Nariño University of Pasto, laboratory section, using a gas chromatograph/mass spectrometer Shimadzu QP2010S, with Shimadzu SHRXI5-MS column, mobile phase He UAP, mass selective detector, mode of operation full scan, interface at 300 °C for carbofuran and at 280 °C for organochlorines (endrine, dieldrin, and heptachlor epoxide) and organophosphates (chlorpyrifos and azinphos-methyl) and splitless injector at 250 °C. The reconcentration essays were carried out by solid phase extraction under reduced pressure at 30 °C and elution with high purity ethyl acetate (for carbofuran) and n-hexane:high purity acetone (for organophosphates and organochlorines).
