Designing “Batu Wanderlust” Website as Digitalization of Tourism to Enhance the Promotion of Batu City Tourism

Kota Batu is a tourist destination known for its natural scenery, recreational facilities, and convenient city access for visitors. Its appeal is capable of surpassing the tourist target in 2023, prompting the Batu City government to raise the tourist target for 2024. Efforts to support the achievement of tourist targets in Batu City are actively carried out through various methods, including digital media. However, the digital promotion efforts of the city have not been implemented effectively, one of which is the city website that is still not optimized. Therefore, this project aims to digitally transform tourism through a website designed as an informative and engaging media for tourism in Batu City. This website will feature curated videos from previous visitors' social media to ensure the accuracy of information about a destination. The design approach uses the Design Thinking method with supporting data from journals, e-books, the Disparta Kota Batu website, and questionnaires to ensure user behavior and user needs. This website was tested using the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) and User Interviews, with the UEQ results falling into the Excellent category overall.
