Description

This dataset contains the complete list of differentially expressed proteins identified through label-free quantitative proteomics in zebrafish (Danio rerio) larvae exposed to 500 µM MPP⁺ from 1 to 5 days post-fertilization (dpf). Proteomic analysis was conducted via LC-MS/MS and processed with MaxQuant and Perseus, using a |log₂FC| > 1 and adjusted p-value (FDR) < 0.05 as thresholds for significance, expanding the curated dataset highlights 40 proteins significantly altered by MPP⁺ exposure, many of which are associated with canonical neurodegenerative pathways including mitochondrial dysfunction, oxidative stress response, proteostasis, and synaptic transmission. Key Parkinson’s disease-related proteins—such as DJ-1 (PARK7), SDHA, and multiple 26S proteasome subunits—are included. This table supports the findings reported in the manuscript “Behavioral and Proteomic Characterization of MPP⁺-Induced Early Neurodegeneration and Parkinsonism in Zebrafish larvae”, demonstrating a multifactorial neurodegenerative phenotype. The dataset serves as a molecular resource for translational research on Parkinsonism and neurotoxic stress models.
