The study gathered data using online questionnaires from select cities of India - Mumbai, New Delhi, Bengaluru, Kolkata, and Chennai, chosen for their high internet penetration and IoT-based digital equipment usage. Judgmental sampling was used to collect data from respondents exposed to smart home technology through usage or information sources. Based upon the '10-times rule', the study targeted to collect 500 samples. Total of 505 responses were used for analysis after removing incomplete or erroneous questionnaires.
