Description

Data presented in this work come from collection at the experimental site over a period of 12 months corresponding to the two seasons of the year. The site is located in the city of Douala in Cameroon, in a hot and humid zone. The experimental room are located above the Ground floor of a R+1 building. They are constructed of hollow agglomerated concrete blocks 20 cm thick with interior and exterior cement plaster and consist of: an opened uninhabited room; an uninhabited closed room; an inhabited room. The thermo hygrometers and the anemometer constitute the data acquisition system, and are arranged in the rooms in accordance with the ISO7726 (1998) [1] standard relating to instruments for measuring thermal comfort parameters in buildings. The data collected consists of: temperature, relative humidity and air speed outside the site; the indoor temperature and relative humidity of the different rooms. These parameters collected with a step of one hour. The MATLAB software is used to calculate the maximum, minimum, average values, as well as the standard deviation for that parameter measured. The fields of use of the processed data are numerous: the research of the causal links between climatic parameters of the site and those interior environments of buildings; predicting data based on one-year history; the impact of each experimental scenario on the thermal behavior of the room; the evaluation of heat transfer in the room; the assessment of the energy saving potential in the room
