Description

This data set contains raw data recorded during an investigation of microplastics from different tissue samples of spineless cuttlefish. We divided the datasheet into shapes, sizes and colours of microplastics in a total of 40 targeted samples. Using these data, we can calculate the abundance of microplastics in tissue samples of spineless cuttlefish. The pollution load index can be calculated using these data sets for tissue samples like gut, tentacle and nidamental gland. We processed this data and made some conclusions like the pollution load index, the abundance of microplastics, the size range of microplastics, shape and colour of microplastics. This data set also contains few FTIR and Micro Raman Data of microplastic polymers recorded in our study.

Steps to reproduce

This data was obtained by digesting different tissue samples with KOH and then filtered with 0.1-micron filter paper. All the filtered samples were observed under a stereomicroscope and all the microplastic particles were recorded as different parameters like shape, size and colour. To confirm the chemical nature of plastic polymers FTIR and Micro-raman spectroscopy were done. Then all the raw files were converted into CSV files for further analysis using openspecy and other software like origin pro.
