Description

Data for: 'Non-destructive on-line and long-term monitoring of in situ nitrate and nitrite reactivity in a clay environment at increasing turbidity' The datasets contain the data on the stability of the pH::lyser probe and the method to determine nitrate and nitrite according to the SW algorithm. File "stability pH measured with pH lyser.xlsx": This file contains the data on the pH and T evolution as measured with the pH::lyser after immersion of the electrode in artificial Opalinus Clay Pore water for ~4 days. File "UV spectra nitrate solutions with turbidity.xlsx": This file shows the application of the SW algorithm to determine nitrate concentrations at high turbidity. This file contains raw and normalized UV spectral data for 4 solutions with ~40 mM nitrate and turbidity ranging from 3 to ~400 FNU. The two graphs compare the raw UV spectra with the spectra after normalization. File "UV spectra nitrite solutions with turbidity.xlsx": This file shows the application of the SW algorithm to determine nitrite concentrations at high turbidity. This file contains raw and normalized UV spectral data for 3 solutions with 0.3 to ~10 mM nitrite and turbidity ranging from ~500 to ~2400 FNU. The two graphs compare the raw UV spectra with the spectra after normalization.
