Description

This paper presents the data of Air to Ground (A2G) path loss for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV). The data collection process was carried out through simulations developed with the help of the Wireless Insite software that uses the full 3D ray-trace technique. The simulation was done for two types of areas: Uniform and Real areas. The parameters of the unform area were selected according to The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) statistical model in its recommendation document (P.1410-2). The CADMAPPER website was used to generate the real area. The output data provides the total path loss, free space path loss, and the excess path loss. The data offers potential support for further research in UAV channel modeling.

Steps to reproduce

the data was collected by simulation. It was done using Wireless Insite software by shooting rays from the transmitters and propagates them through the defined environment. The full 3D simulation was selected for accurate calculations. Three output files for the total path loss, the free-space path loss, and the excess path loss are exported for each frequency. Then, the output files were imported to Excel to be organized for analysis.
