The effect of online game-based learning on students’ mathematics learning outcomes: SLR

This systematic review (SR) investigates the impact of online game-based learning on secondary students' mathematical understanding. SR was selected as the most appropriate research method to answer the research questions, which aimed to describe, evaluate, and synthesize current empirical studies on the effects of online game-based learning on secondary students' mathematics learning outcomes. The authors used two main search engines, Scopus and Google Scholar were used to search for articles relevant to the research objectives. The identification phase revealed 13 articles from Scopus and 1000 articles from Google Scholar using the search items “online game-based learning,” “students,” and “mathematics understanding.” The total number of detected articles was 1013.
