Crocin pretreatment Improved Spatial Memory in acute high altitude hypoxia rats

Description

We first performed MWM to evaluate the cognitive performance of different groups of rats.The MWM test (Fig. 1D) showed a significant increase in escape latency time (Fig. 1B) and travel distance (Fig. 1C) in the AHH group compared with the control group (p<0.05). The same study showed a significant decrease in escape latency time and travel distance in the groups pretreated with crocin at all the concentrations used compared with the AHH group (p<0.05). Among the crocin-treated groups, HHG group had the best protective effect on hippocampus compared with LHG group (p <0.05) and HMG group (p <0.05).
