Description

Throughout history, clinical tests have been associated with the diagnosis of patients. This study was descriptive, with a non-experimental, cross-sectional and prospective design.It was carried out with the aim of updating specific analytical tests for patients admitted to the periodontics, surgery and paediatric dentistry, surgery and paediatric dentistry departments of the Dr René Puig Bentz Clinic of the Pedro Henríquez Ureña National University (UNHU). A population of 28 teachers was evaluated, of whom 23 responded to the questionnaire. As a result, it was observed that a high percentage of the respondents of the population surveyed agreed with the need to update the analytical tests for the School of Dentistry for a better School of Dentistry for a better management of systemically compromised patients. In conclusion, updating the analytical tests at the UNPHU will allow for a broader and more accurate picture of the procedures to be performed and will improve the final results.

The project was carried out at the Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña (UNPHU), located at Av. John F. Kennedy 1/2, Santo Domingo, specifically in the periodontics, surgery and paediatric dentistry departments of the dental school.The study was a descriptive applied research with a non-experimental, cross-sectional and prospective design. This means that there was no manipulation of variables, and data collection was carried out at a single point in time. A pilot test was carried out by giving the instrument or questionnaire to four teachers who were not included in the study, in order to corroborate the results. After the pilot test was carried out and approved by the coordinators and the management department, data collection began in the above-mentioned areas in order to achieve our objective. in order to achieve our objective.The studies for this research were selected by searching the following databases: Google Scholar, Pubmed,EBSCOHost and UNPHU repository. The data was analysed using descriptive statistics using Microsoft for Windows 2020 "Microsoft Excel" and presented using frequency tables and corresponding graphs.
