Description

The objective of this report is to provide raw data on fish catches obtained during quality monitoring of the Tramandaí River Basin, North Coast of Rio Grande do Sul, which analyzed different matrices such as water, sediment and biota. The tables show the count of fish collected by the Water, Sediment and Fish Biology Analysis Laboratory of Ceclimar/UFRGS during the Taramandahy Project – phase I. The collections were carried out monthly between May 2011 and April 2013, in nine lagoons: Itapeva, Quadros, Passo, Tramandaí, Gentil, Fortaleza, Cidreira, Rondinha and Bacopari. Fishing nets with meshes of 5 to 9 mm and lengths of approximately 100 m were used and installed with the aid of boats. The sampling time was between 8 to 10 h, and the mesh sizes aim to capture juvenile specimens, looking for any metal accumulation. The results of metal contamination of some of these fish have already been published by Tesser et al. (2021). The sampling was registered under SISBIO license no. 27770-2.
