This repository contains information relevant to the publication "European-wide spatial analysis of sewage treatment plants and the possible benefits to nature of advanced treatment to reduce pharmaceutical emissions" (submitted). The file "SI_STP Removal Efficiencies" contains an overview of the selected 58 priority pharmaceuticals (Name and chemical identifiers) and removal rates by 1) primary, 2) secondary, 3) tertiary, 4) disinfection, 5) ozonation, 6) activated carbon and 7) advanced (average removal of ozonation and activated carbon). The file "SI_STP Treatment and Location Characteristics" contains information on the applied treatment levels and location of European sewage treatment plants.
