Experimental dataset on temperature-dependent thermophysical properties of glass measured by Laser Flash Analysis
Description
This dataset contains experimental data on the temperature-dependent thermophysical properties of glass obtained using the Laser Flash Analysis (LFA) method. Measurements were performed using a Linseis LFA 500 system over a temperature range from 25 °C to 600 °C. The dataset includes processed values of thermal conductivity and specific heat capacity obtained at individual temperature levels, together with supporting experimental documentation and photographs of the specimen preparation, experimental equipment, measurement configuration, and evaluation procedure. At each temperature level, multiple measurements were performed and selected measurements showing satisfactory agreement between the measured temperature-response curve and the corresponding curve generated by the evaluation model were used to determine representative values.

Steps to reproduce
Glass specimens were prepared for Laser Flash Analysis and coated with graphite spray to obtain an opaque surface suitable for the measurement. The thermophysical properties were measured using a Linseis LFA 500 system under vacuum conditions. Prior to testing, the specimen dimensions and material density were entered into the evaluation software. Measurements were conducted from 25 °C to 600 °C at 25 °C temperature intervals. Before measurements at each temperature level, the furnace was allowed to reach the target temperature. The measurement settings were maintained throughout the experimental programme with an aperture of 4, pulse voltage of 350 V, pulse duration of 0.4 ms, and amplitude of 20. At each temperature level, 10–20 individual measurements were performed. The recorded temperature-response curves were subsequently evaluated using the Laser Flash Evaluation software. Measurements showing satisfactory agreement between the measured response and the curve generated by the evaluation model were selected for further processing. Typically, 5–10 measurements were selected at each temperature level. The thermal conductivity and specific heat capacity values obtained for the selected measurements were recorded and averaged to obtain representative values for each temperature level.
