Description

Sets of data for neonatal mortality rate with different predictors. Two distinct datasets are provided, a paired sample dataset, data_indicators, and an independent sample dataset, data_hosp. The data_indicators files details 169 low weight newborns of 1995 in the Neonatology ward of Hospital Garcia da Orta, Portugal. These cases were scored with different risk assessment predictors, “WEIGH_AG”, “CRIB”, “NTISS”, “SNAP “and “SNAPPE”. Values of these scoring systems were recorded along the survival status (0, alive; 1, death) The data_hosp files details 234 low weight newborns from 1995 across four different Portuguese hospitals with “CRIB” score recorded for each case. Hospitals are numbered 1 through 4 (hospital1-4) and register different sample sizes, hospital1 with 77 cases, hospital2 with 33, hospital3 with 45 and finally hospital4 with 79 cases. Survival status of each case was recorded (0, alive; 1, death).
