- Data for: Significance of flexion range of motion as a risk factor for kyphotic change after cervical laminoplastyThis data, including 99 patients with degenerative cervical myelopathy, is for the elucidation of risk factor for kyphotic change after cervical laminoplasty. The study population was divided into two cohorts: the cases with and without marked loss of cervical lordosis after laminoplasty [cervical lordosis loss (CLL) group and no cervical lordosis loss (NCLL) group, respectively].

- Data for: A Distal Start Point Facilitates Safer Insertion of S2 Iliac Screw FixationFrom January 2013 to November 2015, 36 consecutive patients (one 17-year-old pediatric patient and 35 adult patients above 20 years of age) received S2AI pelvic fixation using the freehand technique by a single surgeon. Among sixty-two S2AIs in 36 patients, there were 26 screws (42%) inserted in zone A and 36 (58%) in zone B. There was no difference in demographics between the two groups (Table 2). There were 11 instrumentation breaches (three medial, eight lateral) of the iliac wing in zone A (42%) and 0 in zone B (p<0.0001).

- Data for: A novel concept of posterior decompression and instrumented fusion with selective lordotic correction for cervical ossification of the posterior longitudinal ligamentThe recovery rate of Japanese Orthopedic Association (JOA) score with K-line (-) cervical ossification of the posterior longitudinal ligament (OPLL) for posterior decompression with in-situ fusion (PDF) tends to be lower than that of anterior decompression with fusion (ADF). However, ADF is a technically demanding operation and has ADF-specific complications. This prospective report introduced a novel concept of PDF with selective lordotic correction as well as prophylactic foraminal decompression.
