  • Data for: Effects of pH and nitrites on the toxicity of a cypermethrin-based pesticide to zebrafish embryos
The aim of this study was to evaluate the influence of pH and nitrite concentrations on Barrage® toxicity using zebrafish (Danio rerio) as model organism and measuring lethal and developmental endpoints. Data provided refers to the observations of selected parameters in individual organisms. Mortality, development and hatching produced binomial data (0= not observed, 1= observed), while hear beats countings produced numeric data.

  • Dataset for Significant Metabolic Alterations in Mouse Dams Exposed to an Environmental Mixture of Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCBs) During Gestation and Lactation: Insights into PCB and Metabolite Profiles
Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and their metabolites are linked to developmental neurotoxicity, but their levels in the gestational and lactational environment remain unexplored. This study investigated the effects of dietary exposure to the Fox River Mixture (FRM) on serum levels of PCBs and their metabolites in female C57BL/6J mice. The mice were exposed to 0, 0.1, 1, and 6 mg/kg body weight of FRM beginning two weeks before mating and throughout gestation and lactation. Serum samples from the dams were analyzed using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS/MS) and liquid chromatography-high resolution mass spectrometry (LC-HRMS). This dataset includes the data from the targeted analysis of PCBs and OH-PCBs by GC-MS-MS, untargeted analysis of polar PCB metabolites with negative mode LC-HRMS, the quality assurance and quality control data, and the corresponding raw data acquired by GC-MS-MS and LC-HRMS.

  • Datasets for the disposition of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) differs between germ-free and conventional mice
This dataset summarized a study investigating the PCB congener specific distribution in tissues, including adipose, brain, liver and serum of germ-free and conventional mice, which were exposed orally to an environmental mimic PCB mixture, Fox River Mixture (FRM) with low dose (6 mg per kg body weigh), high dose (30 mg per kg body weight) and control (corn oil alone). The dataset includes, method detection limit (MDL), limit of detection (LOD), background levels of PCBs in method blanks (MB) and tissue blanks (tissue control), ongoing precision and recovery (OPR) in both method blank and tissue blank (tissue control), levels of PCB congeners and PCB groups in exposure groups, mass percentages of PCB congeners and PCB groups, and mass profile of FRM. Neurotoxic equivalent quotient (NEQ) of PCB groups by PCB homologs and ortho-substituted chlorine numbers, and liver gene and protein expression.
