Description

This dataset contains in-situ molecular analyses by Photo-induced Force Microscopy (PiFM) of organic and mineral phases in Pinctada margaritifera shell layers and reference materials (Sigma-Aldrich and MTI Corporation). PiFM infrared (IR) absorption spectra were acquired in heterodyne (sideband) mode with a spatial resolution of ~5 nm and spectral resolution of ~1 cm⁻¹. Data are presented as intensity-normalized point spectra averaged across multiple measurements, with associated first standard deviations (1s).
