This study tested the combined effects of water temperature and dietary protein level in the growth and muscle cellularity of meagre juveniles. To achieve this, two diets with different protein content (45 and 57%) were tested at 20 and 24 ºC. Four treatments were used: 45% protein at 20 ºC (LPLT), 45% protein at 24 ºC (LPHT), 57% protein at 20 ºC (HPLT) and 57% protein at 24 ºC (HPHT). A total of 1056 fish (initial live weight 56.0 g) were used and the trial lasted 90 days.
