Dataset for the Integrated and Standardized Earthquake Catalogue of Indonesia (88 AD–2024)
Description
This dataset provides an integrated and standardized earthquake catalogue for Indonesia covering the period from 88 AD to 2024. The catalogue was compiled by collecting, integrating, and standardizing earthquake records from national and international sources into a unified data structure. The primary goal of this dataset is to provide a consistent and well-documented compilation of earthquake events for regional-scale seismicity analysis, data exploration, and reproducible research.

Steps to reproduce
1. Download all files associated with this dataset from Mendeley Data. 2. Read the README.txt file to understand the scope, data sources, temporal coverage, and known limitations of the earthquake catalogue. 3. Load the main catalogue file (Integrated_Standardized_Earthquake_Catalogue_Indonesia_88AD_2024.csv) using standard data analysis software (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB, or spreadsheet software). 4. Refer to Metadata.xlsx for detailed descriptions of each column, data types, and parameter definitions. 5. For quantitative analyses, assess magnitude completeness (Mc) and data quality appropriate to the selected time period and region. 6. Interpret historical earthquake records with caution, as time reference systems and parameter uncertainties may differ from instrumental records.
