The dataset presents a study on willingness to pay for the development of renewable energy (RE) on the East Coast of Malaysia, consisting of three states, Terengganu, Pahang, and Kelantan. The data was obtained from a field survey with 740 respondents regarding their knowledge, perceptions, willingness to pay for renewable energy, and sociodemographic variables in the three states. Then the data was used for analysis with the Contingent Valuation method.
