Two cruises were conducted to investigate hypoxia in 2020 over the East China Sea inner shelf in August of 2021 (normal year) and 2022 (drought year) respectively. Water samples from surface layer (2m)、bottom layer (2m above the sea floor) and other 0 to 4 mid-layers were collected using a 10 L Rosette hydrophore fitted with a Sea-Bird 917 conductivity-temperature-depth (CTD) recorder. Biogeochemical data (POC, 13C, Chl-a, etc.) were measured using instruments presented in Metadata file.
