Spatially validated GMoE modelling and Geodetector attribution of heavy metal contamination in European topsoils
Description
This dataset contains processed spatial data and code used for modelling soil heavy metal pollution in European topsoils. The data include 34 raster layers harmonized to a 500 m grid, covering climate, hydrology, soil properties, land cover, topography, socioeconomic variables, road density, mining information, and metal-related environmental layers for As, Cd, Cu and Hg. These layers were used as predictor variables for spatial prediction and driving-factor analysis of soil heavy metal contamination.The repository also includes the Python script used for spatial-block GMoE modelling and validation. The dataset is intended to support reproducibility of the modelling workflow, spatial prediction analysis, and interpretation of environmental and anthropogenic drivers.
