Mapping Executive Functions in Higher Education: A Bibliometric Analysis of its Construction as a Research Domain (1900-2025)

Objective: To conduct a bibliometric analysis to chart the construction of the "executive functions in higher education" construct as a research domain between 1900 and 2025. Methodology: A retrospective bibliometric review was conducted using the Lens.org platform, analyzing 47,287 documents with the Bibliometrix package in R. Indicators of productivity, impact, collaboration, and thematic evolution were applied. This study is a result of the Sectoral Project PS223LH 002-019, "A comparative historical study of the trends, leading figures, and institutions that are part of the history of Higher Education in Cuba from 1960 to the present."
