Description

Top-ranked pixels for each of our three scoring approaches (species richness, EDGE score proxy, and integrative), including the top 10 pixels in each biome and top 50 pixels overall. To reduce species redundancy among top-scoring pixels, we did not include multiple pixels from the same ecoregion, except for when ecoregions lacked a single top-scoring pixel due to tied scores among multiple pixels, in which case all tied top-scoring pixels were included. The proportion of habitat remaining within top-scoring pixels was color-coded using a gradient where green = high proportion of habitat remaining, yellow = medium proportion of habitat remaining, and red = low proportion of habitat remaining.
