Governance, Aid, and Adaptation: The Macroeconomic Payoff of Climate Finance in Emerging and Developing Economies
Description
This repository contains the panel dataset and Stata replication materials for the study examining whether climate-tagged official development assistance (ODA) promotes macroeconomic resilience—proxied by real GDP growth—and whether institutional quality conditions this relationship across developing economies (2000–2024). The replication package reproduces all tables/figures reported in the manuscript, including OLS baselines, two-step IV–GMM estimates, and income-group heterogeneity analyses.

Steps to reproduce
Design: Moderation framework: GDP growth on climate finance, institutions, and their interaction with macro controls. Estimators: Clustered OLS; two-step IV–GMM (lagged CF and lagged interaction as instruments); country fixed effects; year dummies; cluster-robust SEs at country level. Diagnostics: Kleibergen–Paap LM, weak-ID Wald F (vs. Stock–Yogo crit. values), Hansen/Sargan (where over-ID), and coefficient-stability checks.
