Dataset for “Data-driven Regional Analysis of Seasonal Hydrology within Contiguous United States: Sources of Asynchrony between Seasonal Precipitation and Soil Moisture Patterns”
Description
This dataset includes all code required to reproduce results in “Data-driven Regional Analysis of Seasonal Hydrology within Contiguous United States: Sources of Asynchrony between Seasonal Precipitation and Soil Moisture Patterns”. Running the numbered scripts in order from 1 to 11 will create the files in the “Processed_Data” and “Results” folders. The numbered scripts will call functions (un-numbered scripts) at run-time. For python scripts (extension .py), the command “conda env create -f environment.yml” must be run in the designated directory prior to execution; the environment must also be activated in the conda terminal by running “conda activate pinn_analysis”. Data from the Livneh et al. (2013) dataset must be downloaded from “https://psl.noaa.gov/data/gridded/data.livneh.html” and stored in the folder named “Data_Livneh” in sub-folders named “Prcp”, “Soil_Moisture”, “Surface_Runoff”, and “Evapotranspiration” for precipitation, soil moisture, runoff, and evapotranspiration, respectively, for the scripts to execute correctly.
