Description
This corpus was produced as part of the research project entitled Eliciting Family Knowledge Through Philosophical Dialogue, conducted by Simon Deprez, a member of the EASTCO Research Unit at the University of French Polynesia. The dataset comprises three philosophical inquiry discussions conducted with primary school children, followed by one philosophical inquiry discussion conducted with their parents. These transcripts correspond to four philosophical inquiry sessions carried out in a school setting on the island of Moorea (the sister island of Tahiti), located in the Society Islands archipelago, French Polynesia. The corpus consists of two sets of linguistic transcripts: A linguistic transcription of the exchanges based on the video recordings of three philosophical inquiry sessions involving pupils enrolled in a mixed Year 3–Year 4 primary class (children aged 8 to 9 years). A linguistic transcription of the exchanges based on the video recording of one philosophical inquiry session involving the parents of these pupils.The dataset provides qualitative data for the analysis of children's and parents' representations of a shared cultural object (Polynesian tattooing) through philosophical inquiry. It is intended for research in philosophy for children, family education, qualitative research methods, cultural transmission, and educational contextualisation in multilingual and postcolonial settings.

Steps to reproduce
The transcripts were produced through verbatim transcription using an audio player, a text editor, and professional headphones. No interpretation or editorial modifications were made. The dataset reproduces the participants' original utterances verbatim, preserving their speech exactly as recorded.
