Stabilization of weak subgrade material with calcium carbide waste, iron steel slag, calcined clay and portland limestone cement. Calcium carbide waste was used in reducing the plasticity index of weak subgrade material. Different percentages of calcined clay and iron steel slag were added to optimum calcium carbide waste and subject to California bearing ratio and Unconfined compressive strength tests at 0, 7, 28, 56 and 90 days of curing. The strength results were compared with 7 days specification for sub-base and base course application in flexible pavement construction.
