The supplementary dataset includes data collected from 9 stations along the slope of the northern South China Sea during a research cruise in April 2020. The dataset comprises cruise information, Station ID, Longitude, Latitude, Bottom depth, Sampling depth, Potential temperature, Salinity, Dissolved oxygen (DO), Nitrate, Soluble Reactive Phosphorus (SRP), Chlorophyll a (Chl a), Dissolved Organic Carbon (DOC), and fluorescence peaks A, M, and T.
