Residential Property Listings and Accessibility Dataset for Khulna City Corporation, Bangladesh, 2026
Description
This dataset contains 78 individually sourced residential and land property listings collected from four active Bangladeshi online real estate platforms: bproperty.com, bikroy.com, bdhousing.com, and livingsn.com. The listings cover Nirala Residential Area and selected neighborhoods within and around Khulna City Corporation (KCC), including Sonadanga, Khan Jahan Ali, Gollamari, Lobon Chora, Khalishpur, Boyra, Khulna Sadar, Zero Point, Moylapota, and adjoining areas. The dataset includes information on transaction type, property type, location, property size and measurement unit, asking sale price or monthly asking rent, price per square foot where available, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, road and structural characteristics, amenities, listing date, source platform, and source URL. Additional classification variables identify whether a listing falls within the KCC study area, its residential relevance, the type of reported price, and basic data-quality considerations. A companion accessibility-landmark dataset is provided separately and contains 19 landmarks, including markets, schools, hospitals, mosques, and transport-related locations, with available approximate geographic coordinates and accessibility relevance. These data can support future GIS-based distance, accessibility, and neighborhood-level housing-market analyses. Data were manually compiled through targeted web searches and page-level verification on 31 August 2026. The dataset is therefore a curated sample of publicly visible online listings available through the selected sources at the time of collection and should not be interpreted as a complete inventory of the Khulna property market. Reported prices represent asking/listing prices rather than verified completed transaction prices. Missing values indicate information that was not disclosed in the original listing. Listings with potentially unusual or questionable reported values have been retained rather than silently altered, allowing researchers to inspect and make their own methodological decisions. The dataset is intended to support research on urban housing markets, housing affordability, property-price benchmarking, hedonic pricing, neighborhood accessibility, spatial housing-market analysis, and urban development in Khulna and other secondary cities in Bangladesh.
