Description

This dataset includes eight files ds1-ds8. ds1 provides the grain size distribution of specimens in this study and other published results of Nankai Trough and the South China Sea hydrate-bearing sediments in support of Figure 2. ds2 provides the raw data of resonant column tests on hydrate-bearing and hydrate-free specimens in support of Figure 3. ds3 provides the calculated wave velocities of hydrate-bearing and hydrate-free specimens in support of Figure 4. ds4 provides the calculated wave attenuations of hydrate-bearing and hydrate-free specimens in support of Figure 5. ds5 provides the fitting parameters (α and β) of specimens in this study and other published results of soils and rocks in support of Figure 6. ds6 provides the calculated wave velocity differences of specimens in this study and other published results, and the predicted wave velocity differences of specimens by rock physic model in support of Figure 7. ds7 provides the calculated proportions of various hydrate morphologies in specimens under the given hydrate saturation in support of Figure 8. ds8 provides the attenuation and hydrate saturation relationship of specimens in this study and other published results of Nankai Trough and Mallik hydrate-bearing sediments in support of Figure 9.
