Description

This dataset contains anonymized data collected for a cross-sectional study investigating the relationship between cervical mobility, craniovertebral angle (CVA), body mass index (BMI), and hip-waist ratio (HWR) among healthy adult males and females. The study aimed to evaluate gender differences in cervical range of motion and forward head posture and to determine the correlation of anthropometric parameters with cervical mobility. Variables included age, gender, height, weight, BMI, hip circumference, waist circumference, hip-waist ratio, craniovertebral angle, and cervical range of motion measurements (flexion, extension, lateral flexion, and rotation). All data have been anonymized and can be used for educational and research purposes.

Steps to reproduce

Recruit healthy male and female adults according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Obtain written informed consent. Record demographic details including age, gender, height, weight, waist circumference, and hip circumference. Calculate BMI and hip-waist ratio. Measure craniovertebral angle using standardized lateral photography and Kinovea software. Measure cervical range of motion using a universal goniometer/CROM device according to standardized physiotherapy protocols. Enter all measurements into Microsoft Excel. Perform statistical analysis using SPSS. Assess data normality and conduct Pearson or Spearman correlation analyses according to data distribution. Compare male and female participants using appropriate statistical tests.
