The coordinated development of rural tourism and ecological agriculture on islands is fundamental to achieving sustainable human-ocean relationships.This study uses the 18 directly administered cities and counties of Hainan Island, China, as a case to measure the intensity of RTD and AEE. Additionally, the coupling coordination degree model and Geodetector are used to examine the spatial characteristics and driving factors of RTD and AEE's coordinated development on Hainan Island.
