Description

This supplementary dataset contains the gene expression results related to branched-chain amino acid (BCAA) metabolism in visceral and subcutaneous adipose tissues from women with PCOS and non-PCOS controls. It includes relative mRNA expression data for BCKDK, DBT, DLD, BCKDHA, and BCKDHB, primer sequences used for gene expression analysis, and correlation analyses between gene expression levels and clinical variables. These data support the results presented in the associated manuscript.

Gene expression was assessed by qRT-PCR using the primer sequences provided in the dataset. Relative mRNA expression of BCKDK, DBT, DLD, BCKDHA, and BCKDHB was evaluated in visceral and subcutaneous adipose tissues from PCOS and non-PCOS groups. Statistical analyses were performed as described in the associated manuscript. Spearman correlation analysis was used for correlation analyses, and a P value < 0.05 was considered statistically significant.
